Night with the folks

An engaging workshop for parents, guardians and carers, to strengthen their communication and relationship with their teenagers. Run in-person or online.

Connecting with teens can be tricky, but we’re here to help.

In Night With The Folks, our facilitators share what they’ve learned from working with young people for over 15 years.

But we don’t just talk at everyone for a few hours. Through conversations and practices, parents, guardians and carers will gain insights into the impact of societal expectations of young men and women, as well as a toolkit to communicate with them in this vital time of their lives.

Participants will :

01.

Unpack the history, expectations, and important statistics of being a young woman today, including the issues that teenagers face daily

02.

Explore challenging topics in a highly safe, non-judgemental space (for example, body image, low self-esteem, anxiety, and young people’s relationship to social media)

03.

Practise listening to others with curiosity and compassion

04.

Have the opportunity to ask our experts any questions about building a deeper connection with their teenagers

05.

Get a taste of what their teenagers experience in The Re-Authoring program, which includes learning how to express their most powerful voice themselves

Face-to-face or via Zoom?

Both are equally impactful as our facilitators are also well-trained to engage online group settings – yes, even beyond those tech mishaps! Just ask.
