Simōne grew up with a love/hate relationship for school as it had two sides for her. She hated the structured study, preferring the social aspect. School often felt like a place where she wasn’t “enough” academically, yet she thrived on human connection, even if that meant disrupting the class constantly.
This interest and care for other people peaked when she embarked on travels post-high school, going to India leaving a particularly indelible mark. During her experiences overseas, she adored meeting new people and being immersed in new cultures.
Simōne discovered that having meaningful conversations was a passion for her. One of her biggest beliefs is that we need to speak up so our voices can be heard and held - especially when we are struggling.
After exploring the world Simōne completed a Bachelor of Social Work (and thrived in the minimal structure of uni life). During her career she has worked with thousands of people from all different humanitarian sectors - working in youth programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adolescents, being a high school counsellor, and supporting women and children that have experienced family and domestic violence.
As much as Simōne loves working with people, she also loves her own time and would call herself an introverted-extrovert! You’ll find her reading on the beach whilst soaking up the sun, calling her family back in Perth, sweating it out in a spin class, trying to fit in a nap whenever she can, or spending time with friends over a drink.
Facilitation + the support system around delivery is what sets Tomorrow Woman apart. Each of our team have a ‘special something’ and are committed to the impact Tomorrow Woman has. No one else works quite like we do - we can confidently say we're one of a kind.
